This commitment is backed by our team’s strong academic background and extensive experience. Their combined expertise spans various environmental, molecular, biological, and bioinformatic areas, enabling us to deliver comprehensive solutions for environmental conservation.
Alexander Eiler
Alexander is the founder of eDNA solutions AB, with over two decades of experience in genomics and bioinformatics. He also holds a position as a Professor at the University of Oslo, leading a research team specializing in microbe-climate and microbe-food web interactions. He has a background in ecology and genetics, skills that he combines with molecular biology, bioinformatics, and statistics.

Johan Andersson
Johan has been the CEO of eDNA solutions since 2023. He is an environmental scientist with experience in both the public and private sectors. Johan’s area of expertise is freshwater systems, where he mainly works with environmental monitoring and remedial work. He is also the CEO of WaterCircle, a company with which eDNA solutions collaborates extensively.

Eivind Stensrud
Eivind has a Master’s in Marine Biology from the University of Oslo and is pursuing a PhD. His main expertise is in metabarcoding, environmental and dietary DNA, and bioinformatics, focusing on database construction. He is also experienced in fieldwork and genuinely interested in fish ecology.

Daniel Borg
Daniel spent a year working on his Master’s thesis at eDNA solutions, which resulted in the bioinformatics tool EchoPipe, which contributed to his MSc in Molecular Biology 2024. He has several years of work experience in molecular medical diagnostics and has emphasized bioinformatics throughout his academic career.
